HANCOCK – Warren K. Haslam, 84, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at an Ellsworth hospital after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Sedgwick, the son of the late Alonzo and Edith (Carter) Haslam. Mr. Haslam worked as a mechanic for the M & J Bus in Old Saybrook, Conn. for 23 years, retiring in 1987. He retired to Maine shortly after. He was a member of the Grange and the American Legion Post No. 207 of Ellsworth for many years. He shared seven years of marriage with Joan K. (Parker) Haslam who died in 1994. Family members include his children, Richard, Charles, Daniel, Warren Jr., Robert, Ronda, Wanda, Terri, Thomas, and Scott; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Pine Tree Cemetery, Hancock. Relatives and friends are invited and may call 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth.
