ORLAND – Warren W. Randall, 73, devoted husband of Greta (Hanscom) Randall, died after a five-year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Oct. 30, 2005, at an Orono healthcare center surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Castle Hill, the son of Lindley and Christine (Page) Randall. Warren served his country as a petty officer in the U.S. Navy and as an officer with the Air Force Reserves. He spent many years working in management and as a personnel consultant throughout the state. He was also a lover of the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 51 years; loving Dad to three children, Scott Randall and his wife, Karen, of Dixmont, Susan Coffin and her husband, Richard, of Bangor and Grayson Randall and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren, Chuck Downes of Bangor, Nicole Downes of Bangor, Kevin and Michael Randall, both of Raleigh, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Morgan Downes of Bangor. Warren’s family offers a special thank you to Bert and Sonny for always being there and to all the employees at Orono Commons for their endless care and compassion.
