DANFORTH – Wasel “Willie” Koposcinski, 87, died peacefully Feb. 18, 2008, surrounded by his family, at his home in Danforth. He was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of John and Melka Koposcinski. Willie loved to hunt, fish and play cards. He is survived by five children, William Koposcinski of Danforth, Michael Koposcinski and his fiance, Tara, of Danforth, Patricia Zaneldin and Jim Golding of Danforth, Merry McCormick and Lynda Osborne, both of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one sister. He was predeceased by his wife, Olive Koposcinski; son, Richard Sheldon; one brother and one sister. Special appreciation is expressed by Wasel’s family to Hospice of Aroostook staff and especially to Jane Zimmerman for the care, support, compassion and professionalism they showed our father. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Danforth United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jim Boughman officiating.
