PRESQUE ISLE – Wayne A. Grant, 70, died Aug. 24, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Easton, the son of Walter and Nettie (Bulmer) Grant. He attended Easton Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Grant was a member of the Presque Isle Lodge of Elks, B.P.O.E. No. 1954, a former member of the Noble Grant Odd Fellows and the Easton Legion. He had been employed at Potato Service and later at the Fort Fairfield and Presque Isle Hospital. He is survived by two sisters, Irma Jones and her husband, Leroy of Presque Isle, Rachel Edwards of Manchester, Conn.; two brothers, Dale Grant of Minden, Nev., Gaylon Grant of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Thearn Grant, Fannie Bolster, Wallace Grant, Athill Grant and Vincent Grant. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Marshall Cemetery, Westfield, with the Rev. John Palmer officiating. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
