EAST MILLINOCKET – Wayne F. Crosby, 42, was called off the river by God Wednesday, June 11, 2008. He was born Oct. 13, 1965, in Millinocket, the son of Donald and Jeannette (Brooks) Crosby. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman whose life revolved around fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his friends and his brother, Mark. Wayne enjoyed the Red Sox, the Celtics, the Patriots and NASCAR. In addition to his parents of East Millinocket, Wayne is survived by his sisters, Donna Bendiksen and her husband, Adam, of Portland and Lila Crosby and her companion, David Larrivee, of Steep Falls; his brother, Mark Crosby and his fiancee, Michelle Jacobs, of East Millinocket; a special uncle, Kenneth Clark of East Millinocket; nephews, Kyle, Anthony, Gilbert Jr., Nathan and Nicholas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Andrea Lynn Crosby; and a niece, Natalie Marie. There will be no visiting hours. A celebration of Way-ne’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Billy D’s, Route 157, Mattawamkeag, with Pastor Mark York officiating.
