CHERRYFIELD – Wayne F. Yeaton, 62, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, in Ellsworth. He was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Cherryfield, the son of Everett and Avis (Farren) Yeaton. Wayne retired from the MDI workshop in Trenton. He had many special qualities. Wayne was a participant in the Special Olympics and was very proud of the ribbons he won. He enjoyed playing pranks on all of his friends and also enjoyed his vacation in Boston. He always reminded his friends when his birthday was and what they should buy him for presents – especially cards with money. Wayne loved talking about his family and spending time with them. Wayne was gentle and loving and gave hugs or horsebites whenever he though you needed them. Wayne’s laughter filled the house often and will be sadly missed by his five special roommates, family, and friends. He is survived by a brother, Kelcy Yeaton and his wife, Starr, of Cherryfield; three sisters, Thelma Grant and her husband, Carroll, of Yalesville, Conn., Rose Marie Haslam and her husband, Bob, of Cherryfield, and Bertha Bonardi and her husband, Joe, of Auburn, Mass.; two aunts, Elizabeth (Tillie) Mathews and Nancy Grant; two nephews, Everett Butler and Stephen Grant; nine nieces, Barbara Robinson, Ruth Butler, Regina Grant, Jody Campbell, Terry Jo Mayhew, Valerie Rowen, Tammie Moon, Carla McLean, and Shaynna Moore; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, and caregivers at the Ida Lockhart Home and the Birchwood Living Center.
