BREWER and MARCELLUS, N.Y. – Wendell C. Piper, 82, died Nov. 13, 2003, in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Bangor, the son of Wendell C. and Eva (Irvine) Piper. Wendell was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1939, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and he resided in central New York for more than 50 years. His wife, Barbara, predeceased him in August 2003. He is survived by a sister, Catherine Danforth of Orono; a brother, Philip Piper of Brewer; a son and three daughters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of central New York. Graveside services for Wendell and Barbara will be held at the Veterans Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y.
