ORRINGTON and MILLINOCKET – Wesley A. Proctor, 71, died Monday, July 14, 2008, surrounded by his loving family and friends, at his home, after a long illness. He was born May 22, 1937, in Millinocket, the son of John R. and Ethel (Clark) Proctor. Wes was an entrepreneur in the Millinocket area, owning and operating several businesses for 20 years. He will be missed for his tremendous generosity with family and friends. Wes truly marched to the beat of his own drum, was larger than life and was a unique soul. Surviving is the love of his life, Carolyn (Gray) Proctor; sons, Wesley Proctor Jr., Theodore Proctor, Joshua Gray and his wife, Anne Marie Gray, Ryan Proctor and Dylan Proctor; daughters, June Anne Proctor and Barbara Pitts; eight grandchildren, two great- grandchildren; a brother, Richard Proctor and his wife, Cathy; and a sister, Minerva Proctor and Judy Gore. Family and friends are invited to share in a memorial service and reception 1-3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Keepridge Inn, Millinocket.
