PALMYRA – Wilbur Rowe, 65, died April 8, 2006, at his residence. He was born Oct. 21, 1940, at Palmyra, a son of Kenneth and Ivis (Wilder) Rowe. Wilbur owned and operated Rowe’s Auto Sales and Salvage in Palmyra for many years. He enjoyed his work, especially auto auctions. He loved racing and his many friends. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol Ann (O’Brien) Rowe of Palmyra; six sons, Robert of Newport, David and wife, Patricia, of Plymouth, Dennis and wife, Christine, Stephen Sr. and wife, Martha, Ronald and wife, Lorna, Randel and wife, Alicia, all of Palmyra; two daughters, Roxanne and husband, Wayne Brooks, of Palmyra, Dawn and husband, Glenn Lewis, of Hartland; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Rowe, Clayton Lewis, Shaun Rowe, Stephen Rowe Jr., Nicholas Rowe, Brandon Rowe, Adam Rowe, Amber Rowe, Tyler Rowe, and Kylie Rowe; one great-grandson, Xavier Rowe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ronald; and a sister, Dawn Whitney. A private graveside committal service will be held at Palmyra Village Cemetery in several weeks.
