NORTHPORT – Wilford C. “Whitey” Henry, 64, died Feb. 20, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born April 15, 1940, in Bangor, the son of Chester L. and Norma M. (Taylor/Miller) Henry. Wilford enjoyed hunting, fishing, sailing, gardening and watching sports. He played softball when he was younger. He was a member of the Northport Masons, the Northport Shrine Club and the Meat Cutters Union. He was predeceased by his parents and his long-time companion, Patricia K. Riley. Surviving are his two children; Christopher A. Henry and Annette M. Henry, both of Bangor; five sisters, Judith A. Caruso of Bangor, Elizabeth L. Brehm of Brewer, Nancy J. Henry of Bangor, Duska L. Henry of Bangor and Nadine M. Henry of Dixmont; one granddaughter; Ashley Henry of Bangor; many nieces, nephews; and a special friend, Darrell along with his family and his beloved dog, Whitey. Wilford’s family would like to express their warmest thanks to the staff at the Intensive Care Unit at Waldo County General Hospital, Belfast. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
