FORT KENT – Wilfred Hebert Sr., 91, died peacefully Oct. 25, 2005, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. He was born Nov. 24, 1913, in Fort Kent, the son of Hubald and Eva (Landry) Hebert. Wilfred is survived by three sons, Wilfred Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Latham, N.Y., Harold and his wife, Rinette, of Fort Kent, Gerald and his wife, Pauline, of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; three daughters, Doris and her husband, Richard Daigle, of Schuylerville, N.Y., Geneva and her husband, Roland Dube, of Latham, N.Y., Linda and her husband, Philip Gagnon, of Fort Kent; five sisters, Lillie Gagnon, Leona Paradis and Agnes Albert, all of Fort Kent, Anna Doucette of Hartford, Conn. and Jeannette Blier of Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and 19 foster children. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Irene, Feb. 12, 2005; and three sisters, Melina, Rose and Alice. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. James Nadeau officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Louis Renovation Fund, 26 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
