BANGOR and BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – William Edward “Bill” Daley, 70, died July 18, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Bangor, son of Edward Joseph and Phyllis Williams (Lloyd-Jones) Daley. Bill was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1955. He attended college at Springfield, Mass., and the University of Maine. He was married to Loretta Landry, the love of his life for more than 35 years. In the 1970s, they moved to Florida and Bill was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring as a station manager in 2003. He was a lifetime member of the Bangor Lodge of Elks. Surviving are his wife, Loretta (Landry) Daley of Bangor and Boynton Beach, Fla.; daughters, Dawn Marie Ouellette of Delray Beach, Fla., Tina Thibeault of Margate, Fla.; special nephews, Michael Kimsey and his wife, Beth, of Bangor, and Scott Kimsey and his wife, Jackie, of Missouri, Texas; a sister, Sandra Coonce and her husband, Harvey, of Blanchard, La.; nieces, Pamela A. Coonce and Tracey Coonce, both of Shreveport, La.; three special grandchildren, Maddison, Zachery and Halle, all of Margate, Fla. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at Brookings-Smith Pine Grove Remembrance Center, 1347 Hammond St., Bangor.
