CARIBOU and ST. JOHN, New Brunswick – William “Bill” Toney, 79, died peacefully Aug. 21, 2006, at a Caribou health care facility, where he received great care. He was born July 28, 1927, in Jacket River, New Brunswick, the son of Frank and Mary Jane (Guitar) Toney. Bill served in the U.S. Army for three years, where he served in Germany during the Korean War. He was a member of the Fort Kent VFW Lozier O’Grady Post 9609. Bill is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou and her husband, Ricky Thibeault, of Bristol, Conn.; and special friends, Kim Bellefleur and Leslie Hudson. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until time of departure for St. John, New Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. John Catholic Church. Committal services with full military honors will be held at the parish cemetery.
