PERHAM – William C. Tarbox, 59, died Feb. 7, 2004, at Caribou, following a prolonged illness. He was born May 10, 1944, at Caribou, the son of George and Marie (Skidgel) Boutot. He was educated in the Perham school system and was employed by the town of Perham for several years. William was a member of the North Star Pentecostal Church and was also a member of the Sportsman’s Inc. in Stockholm. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts in Woodland, and loved to camp and fish at Carr Pound. He married Nancy (Long) Tarbox on Aug. 18, 1963. He is survived by his father, George of Brookton and wife, Nancy, of Perham; four sons, Leon Tarbox and his special friend, Melissa Wing, and Lucas Tarbox and his special friend, Rena Pinette, all of Washburn, Lyn Tarbox of Caribou, and Lewis Tarbox of Groton, Mass.; two daughters, Rose Tarbox of Caribou, and Robin Tarbox of Perham; three brothers, Eugene Tarbox of Easton, Brett Tarbox of Washburn, and Albert Tarbox of Caribou; six sisters, Cora McDougal, Anita Long, Deet Rossignol, Cheryl Gillian and Jenny Tarbox, all of Caribou, and Vadine Long of Washburn; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Albert Tarbox; and by two brothers, Charles and Elmer Tarbox. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elden Wilcox officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
