CARIBOU – William H. Drost Jr., 75, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2004, at Caribou. He was born June 19, 1929, at Caribou, the son of William and Annie (Michaud) Drost Sr. He was a graduate of Caribou High School. He was employed by H. Tabenken and Hayes Esso. For more than 39-1/2 years William was employed as a boiler operator for Maine Public Service, retiring as plant supervisor. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Pearl (Parker) Drost of Caribou; three daughters, Linda Pangburn and her husband, Alan, of Millinocket, Susan Drost of Sacramento, Calif., Janice Drost of Caribou; two sons, William Drost III of Sacramento, Calif., and Michael Drost of Auburn, Calif.; two sisters, Lorraine Doody of Caribou, and Reba Spiker of Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Robert and Donald Drost of Waterbury, Conn.; seven grandchildren, Katy and Scott Pangburn, Kevin and Kyle Drost, Jennifer Beal, Jessica Drost and Krystal Drost; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Wheeler. He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Richard, and two sisters, Charlene Sheeders and Letha Auferio. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, until time of services which will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Kiehn officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr. Drost may do so through the charity of one’s choice.
