BREWER – William “Bill” H. Foss, 80, passed away June 23, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 3, 1924, in Brewer, the son of Earl and Minnie (Joslyn) Foss. Bill was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1941, and also a graduate of Husson College, Class of 1951. Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946. He was a devoted Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan. He is survived by his longtime companion, Joan Mishou of Brewer; and her three children that Bill considered his own, Jay and Susan Mishou of Bangor and their daughters, Megan and Erika; Jeffrey and Lisa Mishou of Florida and their children, Jeffrey, Alan, and Megan; Jeri Mishou and her children, Jennifer and Anthony William Ngo of Dedham; four nieces, Betsy and her husband, Fred, Patsy and her husband, Charlie, Anne and her husband, David, Donna Foss; and a cousin, Jeanne Ballester. Bill will be deeply missed by Joan and the children he loved so dearly. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Irvin, Bob, Jim; and two sisters, Mary Jane and Catherine. The family would like to express their thanks to the emergency doctors and nurses, and the CCU at St. Joseph’s Hospital as they did everything they possibly could to save him. Bill you will live forever in our hearts. We will miss you so very much. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
