HOULTON – William J. Woods, 75, of Houlton died April 21, 2005, at Houlton. He was born June 21, 1929, in Houlton, the son of James A. and E. Addie (Mullin) Woods. William was a life long potato farmer and worked for several other people throughout his lifetime. He was a member of the Meduxmekeag Ramblers and Linneus Sno Rovers. He his survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Willette) Woods of Houlton; three children, James and his wife, Tahiti Woods, of Houlton, Sally and her husband, Randy Ward, of Hodgdon, and John Woods, of Houlton; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Donald and his wife, Helen Woods, of Houlton; two sisters, Marylou and her husband, Carl Gray, of Phoenix Ariz., Annegaye Ellis of Phoenix Ariz.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, Robert Woods. Friends may call 12-1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Naomi Sam-Kpakara officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Meduxmekeag Ramblers, the Houlton Humane Society, or the charity of one’s choice care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 579, Houlton, ME 04730.
