SEARSPORT – William S. Miller, 79, died May 30, 2006, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Bedford, N.H., the son of the late William and Ora (Hamel) Miller. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. He spent his life primarily in New Hampshire where he worked in the heating field for many years and he was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 8214, Manchester, N.H. He moved to Searsport in the early 1990s. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Murray) Miller of Searsport; five children, Maureen Gamble and her husband, Harland, of Searsport, Carla Orestis of Searsport, Roxy Chasse and her husband, Michael, of Epsom, N.H., Daren Miller and his wife, Laurie, of Antrim, N.H., and Stuart Miller and his wife, Lori, of Deering, N.H.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Services will be held at a later date.
