OLD TOWN and SUMTER, S.C. – William “Bill” Wayne Willette, husband of Marian Stinson Willette, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter, S.C. Born in Old Town, he was a son of the late Albert George Willette and the late Bernice Desjardins Willette. Mr. Willette was shop foreman of Willette Welding Inc. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1287 in Old Town and was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are his wife of Sumter, S.C.; a brother, Parrie Willette and wife, Linda, of Old Town; a sister, Nancy Berry of Arkansas; three sons, Mike and wife, Denise, of Georgia, Jim and wife, Linda, of Socastee, S.C. and Steven and wife, Kathy, of Washington state; two daughters, Cheryl and husband, Dave, of El Paso, Texas and Lori and husband, Carl, of Harpswell Island; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and best friends, Gary Adams, Don and Cathy Bealer, all of California. He was predeceased by a brother, James Willette; a son, James Dwayne; a granddaughter, Miranda; and his loyal German Shepherd companion of 14 years, Heidi. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Church in Bradley with the Rev. Thomas Farley celebrant. Friends and family are invited to the Parish Hall for a luncheon and continued fellowship after the service. Committal will be private.
