DEXTER – Wilma C. Rolfe, 80, died Dec. 8, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Dexter, the daughter of Ralph and Ruth (Harding) Crowell. She worked at several of the local textile mills. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary and was a former member of the Rebekahs. Wilma was an avid camper and had many camping friends. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ralph “Eddie” and Lottie Rolfe of Waldo, William “Bill” and Clarissa Rolfe of Dover, N.H.; five daughters, Glenda Roberts of Swanville, Julie and her husband, Wayne Smith, of Dexter, Deborah and her husband, Robert Hartley, of Dexter, Susan and her husband, Dick Fletcher, of Exeter, Tammy and her husband, Scott Raye, of Cambridge; 15 grandchildren, Loren Jr., Tammy, Fred, and Jeff Roberts, Bruce Smith, Buddy, Jerry, and Jamie Hartley, Ralph Jr., Jessica, and Alicia Rolfe, Sonya, and Jay Fletcher, Rachael, and Rusty Raye; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Rolfe in 1999. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter, with Maurice Neal officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Spring burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
