WADE – Wilma M. Silver, 74, passed away Sept. 26, 2007, at a Portland hospital. She was born May 30, 1933, in St. John, the daughter of Albert and Vivian (Mullen) Mills. Wilma graduated from Caribou High School in 1950 and married Archie Silver the same year. Together they farmed and raised a family. Wilma was a member of Dunntown Advent Christian Church and church activities were an important part of her life. She enjoyed her weekly get-togethers with her friends at the beauty shop and going out for breakfast. Wilma was predeceased by her husband of 54 years of marriage. She is survived by her two sons and two daughters, Kent Silver and his wife, Becky, of Winterville, Ga., Kim Silver and his wife, Stephanie, of Wade, Melody Brann and her husband, Wendell, of Oakland and Marcy Silver of Wade; her nine grandchildren, Amanda and Lara Silver, Heidi, Tricia and Nicholas Silver, Vicki Canales and her husband, James, Kristen, Nicole and Zachary Brann; one great-grandchild, Elijah Canales; a brother, Leigh Mills and his wife, Hylyn, of Cross Lake; a sister, Dawn Busharda of Kensington, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Dunntown Advent Christian Church with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Friends and family are invited to share memories in celebration of Wilma’s life. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
