SILVER RIDGE – Winifred M. Bradstreet, 76, wife of the late Charles S. Bradstreet, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at a Victorville, Calif. hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Patten, the daughter of Frederick and Faustina (Scribner) Quint. Winifred was a high school business teacher for more than 40 years in Maine and California, being the founder of the La Puente High School State Award, winning Decca Club and Teacher of the Year for multi-district San Gabriel Valley, Calif. Family and friends remember her with fondness as a truly special mom and friend, who gave tirelessly of herself to others, asking little in return. There are few angels on this Earth, and one has left us now. We mourn in our loss here on Earth of her warmth, kindness, strength, and love; we exalt and celebrate the everlasting light of her spirit with our Lord. Winifred is survived by three children, Bette Brown of California, Stephen Bradstreet of Sherman and Charles E. Bradstreet of California; two grandsons, Scott Koerner and Jason Koerner; a great-grandson, Braden Koerner; a brother, Frederick Quint and his wife, Betty, of Patten; a sister, Pauline Arbo of Patten; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Mondarda Calvary Baptist Church, Silver Ridge Road, Sherman, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Carlton Huntley, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Sherman Mills Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
