NORTON, Mass. – Woodrow W. Millington, 88, former longtime resident of Norton died Aug. 8, 2006, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, Mass. after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Ruth A. Roney. Mr. Millington was born in Sayre, Okla., the son of the late Seph and Clora (Bright) Millington. He was raised and educated in Oklahoma. Mr. Millington served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later moved to Norton, Mass. and was a resident there for 30 years before moving to Milo, where he spent five years . For the past five years he had been a resident of the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford, Mass. Mr. Millington worked as a security guard at the Southeastern Regional Vocational High School in Easton, Mass. before his retirement. He was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Easton, Mass. for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Marguerite “Ginger” Chaffee of Maine, Tina Dowd of Norton, Mass. and Angela Millington of Chelsea, Mass.; two sons, John Smith of Norton, Mass. and Austin Millington of California. He was also the father of the late Joanna Feeney of Norton, Mass. Visiting hours are 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St., Route 138, Easton, Mass. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the funeral home. Interment will be held after the service at the Furnace Village Cemetery, South Street, Easton, Mass.
