CHERRYFIELD – Zella L. Cox, 52, died March 18, 2008. She was born Jan. 21, 1956, in Portland, the daughter of Victor and Nydia (Gray) Cox. Zella was a member of Narraguagus Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping and especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her companion, Charles Corliss of Cherryfield; two sons, Joseph S. Strout and his wife, Carey, of Cherryfield, and James E. Strout and his companion, Jessey McLeod, of Passadumkeag; three grandchildren, Jewel, Hunter and Hayley; her mother, Nydia F. Pinkham of Harrington; three sisters, Velma L. Dean and her husband, Tim, of Columbia Falls, Sheila Cox of Deer Isle, Marguerite Sirois and her husband, Leo, of Florida; one niece, Lindsey A. Dean; three nephews, Eugene Cox, Craig Colby and Zachary Dean; several aunts, uncles and cousins; Charles Corliss’ family; and three cats, Mr. T, Diamond and Minnie. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her stepfather, “Bud” Pinkham; one brother, Bradley Cox; one sister, Sandra Humphrey; and one son, Shane Strout. A memorial service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Harrington VFW Hall, Route 1A, Harrington, with the Rev. Ambrose Rolfe officiating.
