TOWNSHIP 21 – Marcel Joseph Roussel, 46, passed away Sept. 25, 2008, surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Marcel was born March 16, 1962, in Edmundston, New Brunswick. He was the son of Levite and Vivianne Roussel. Marcel graduated from Woodland High School in June 1982 and in July he married his high school sweetheart, Tammy Williams. Marcel worked for Domtar in the pulp dryer for 22 years in Baileyville. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Pace Local 27. He was an avid outdoorsman and really enjoyed his adventures with his good friend, Bill Gillespie and fishing trips with his good friend, Dana Marble. Marcel really enjoyed playing Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He loved seeing the smiles and happy faces of young and old. Marcel was predeceased by his father, Levite Roussel; his grandparents, Francis and Lyzanne Roussel and Albert and Ida Roussel; and a brother-in-law, Tommy Bonness. Surviving are his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy Roussel; his mother, Vivianne Roussel; two sons, Mark J. and Derrick F. Roussel; three brothers, Renald Roussel and his wife, Rosemary, Real Roussel and his wife, Diane, and Darcy Roussel and his wife, Cindy; two sisters, Rachel Cilley and her husband, Blin, and Nancy Francis and her husband, Scott; five brothers-in-law, Raymond Williams and his companion, Mary, Danny Williams and his wife, Jody, Kevin Williams and his wife, Sharon, Gene Williams and his wife, Svetlana, and Anthony Williams; his godparents, Fernand and Laurianne Roussel; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Leslie and Brenda Williams, Dennis and Charlotte Brown, and Gram Mac; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great-niece and many friends. He also will be missed greatly by his beloved pet, Jake. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 2 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Baileyville. A reception will be held afterward at the Rod & Gun Club, Princeton.
