CHRISTIE M. HARDISON

LUBEC and EAST MACHIAS – Christie M. Hardison, 94, wife of the late David Hardison, who died in 1980, passed away Sept. 28, 2008, at a Lubec health care facility. She was born April 12, 1914, in East Machias, the daughter of John W. and Phylena M. (Bryant) Lund. Christie married David Hardison of Franklin, in 1944. She was a registered nurse for many years, and took care of nieces and nephews in early years while the parents were working. She lived in Franklin, Township 18, Cherryfield, Marshfield and Lisbon throughout the years. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Marie (Lund) Russell of Lisbon, Audrey (Lund) Fish of New Portland, Wendell Lund of Illinois, Douglas Lund of Clinton, Stephen Lund of Georgia, and Gordon W. Lund of Auburn, N.Y.; and cousins, Leo Lund of East Machias and Maurice Lund and Mary (Lund) Campbell of East Machias. The family thanks the entire staff of Downeast Hospital of Machias and Ocean View Nursing Home for all their exceptional care and comfort during her last day.
