BANGOR – Margaret Bragg Lovejoy, 89, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008. She was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Bangor, to Roland and Mary (Mongovan) Bragg. Peg had many interest and hobbies. She was a skilled painter, and also enjoyed golf, bridge and knitting. Peg was an avid gardener as well as a dedicated volunteer to many organizations in Bangor and Bayside, including the Junior League, the PEO and the Shakespeare Club. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Edward Lovejoy; and by her son and daughter-in-law, Ted Lovejoy and Jenifer Oakes. Peg was predeceased by her daughter, Sally Lovejoy. At the request of the family, services will be private. Those wishing to remember Peg may make donations in her name to American Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 163 Lancaster St., Portland, ME 04101.
