BREWER and BANGOR – Harry Edward Delahunt, 71, died Oct. 2, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 4, 1937, in Bangor, son of Harry Edward and Josie P. (Babine) Delahunt Sr. Harry was employed by Maine Distributors, Inc. for many years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Columbia Street Baptist Church, Bangor, for 61 years, where he served on numerous church committees. Harry was an avid bowler and a former member of Hampden Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Eileen (Stone) Delahunt of Brewer; one sister, JoAnne Smith and her husband, Warren, of Bangor; two nephews, David and Michael; one niece, Terri; great-nieces and greatnephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Columbia Street Baptist Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Peter Spraque, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
