DETROIT – Scott M. Goulette, 40, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning Oct. 5, 2008. He was born May 6, 1968, in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Michael and Irene (Knowles) Goulette. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1986, where he was an All State athlete in soccer. He was a school bus driver for many years for SAD 53 and had been a volunteer firefighter for the Detroit Fire Department for many years. He was a great outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed Mopar racing and was currently rebuilding a Red Dodge Dart in hopes of running it at the Winterport drag strip. But he was most proud of his 9-year-old son, who could be seen helping his father work on cars, ice fishing, riding four-wheelers, and practicing the finer points of soccer with his dad. Scott was an exceptional dad and uncle. In addition to his son, Christopher, he is survived by his father and girlfriend, Michael Goulette and Carrie Willey of Detroit; paternal grandfather, Rudolph and wife, Althea Goulette, of Dexter; mother, Irene and husband, Warren Luce, of Parkman; sister, Nena and husband, Mike Gustin, of Sangerville; stepbrother, Jason Luce of Sebec; his ex-wife and mother of his son, Bobbie of Clinton; Bobbie’s mother, Regina Schissler of Detroit; uncles, John Goulette of Cambridge and Peter Goulette of Corinna; aunts, Gail Goulette of Cambridge, and Jeannnine and husband, Ray Randlett, of St. Albans; four nieces, Chelsey, Latoia, Avonna and Michael; a nephew, Trevor; many cousins, including Mark Goulette of Cambridge, and Jeremy Goulette and wife, Danielle, of Corinna; and countless friends. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10. Burial will be at Detroit Village Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the services at Detroit Snowmobile Club.
