ROQUE BLUFFS – Frank W. Anthony, 69, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 8, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Danvers, Mass. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. For the past 18 years, Frank enjoyed providing the local Machias community with fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers at Machias Farmers Market. He died doing what he loved, tending to his farm, and living in Roque Bluffs with his wife of 29 years, Barbara (Sieferd) Anthony. He leaves behind 10 children and their families, Michael Anthony, Katherine Castania, Lorraine Martin, William Anthony, Paul Dunn, Keith Anthony, Bryan Dunn, Brenda Anthony, Tony Anthony, and Crystal Anthony. Susan Bailey, his daughter, passed away two years ago. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His granddaughter, Kayla Anthony, lives with Frank and Barbara. Inspired by her grandparents, she will graduate from Washington Academy with honors in 2010. An open house for friends and relatives will be held 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Roque Bluffs Community Chapel.
