GRACE EILEEN HESSELTINE

MILFORD – Grace Eileen Hesseltine, 87, passed away Oct. 10, 2008, at a Brewer nursing facility. Grace was born April 5, 1921, in Bradford, the daughter of Leslie and Louise (Howes) Wilson. Grace graduated from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, in 1939 and went on to graduate from Beals Business College in 1941. She worked at several local businesses and retired from Bangor Hydro in 1892. Grace was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Finn; son, Kevin Daily and his wife, Sue; three stepchildren, Dawn Snodgrass and her husband, John, Sharon Little and her husband, Jimmie, and Paul Hesseltine and his wife, Bobbie; 10 grandchildren, including Steven Hesseltine and wife, Suzy, Dean Hesseltine and wife, Joanne, Timothy Finn and his wife, Shelley, and Kelley McClinton; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Gordon L. Hesseltine Sr.; two stepsons, Hale Hesseltine and Gordon Hesseltine Jr.; her sisters, Madeline Trask and Francis McCormick; and her brother, Lloyd Trask. At her request, there will be no services. A private family burial will be held at Lawdale Cemetery. For those who would like to remember Grace, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
