WINTERPORT – Theresa Janette (Doyon) Arsenault, 81, wife of Frank A. Arsenault, passed away Oct. 12, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility, after a brief illness, with her loving family by her side. She was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Joseph and Albertine (Rancourt) Doyon. Tess grew up in Winterport, where she lived most of her life and attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She married Frank A. Arsenault, Sept. 11, 1948, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage and life together. Theresa worked for Evans Shoe Co., Hampden, but most important to her was being a homemaker, wife and mother. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was especially proud of her grandchildren. Tess’ strong will, playfulness, and great sense of humor will be missed greatly by her family and two beloved cats. Tess is survived by her beloved husband, Frank of Winterport; her son, Francis D. Arsenault and his wife, Clarissa A. Godinez, of Winterport; her daughter, Roma M. Bonenfant and her husband, Edward A. Bonenfant Jr., of Scarborough; three sisters, Rita Nelson and husband, Donald, of Winterport, Jean Rudnicki and husband, Marion, of Bangor, and Doris Ingalls and husband, Alvin, of Frankfort; two brothers, Raoul Doyon and wife, Mary, of Bangor, and Arthur Doyon and wife, Gayle, of Saco; a sister-in-law, Stella Doyon, of Winterport; grandchildren, Heather, Nathan and Michael Arsenault, Ted and Sarah Bonenfant of Scarborough; many nieces and nephews. Tess was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Sylva Doyon. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Main Street, Winterport. Interment will be in the family lot at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport.
