BARBARA J. RODGERS – CHARLESTON – Barbara J. Rodgers, 44, the wife of David A. Rodgers, died Oct. 13, 2008, surrounded by her family, at her residence, after a short illness. She was born June 5, 1964, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of John and Anita (Higgins) Wilson. She was a graduate of Dexter High School, Class of 1982 and had resided in Charleston since 1990. She had worked as a foster mother and childcare provider for many years, and loved to spend time with her husband and children caring for them. She was an avid snowmobiler and served as past president of Powerline Prowler’s Snowmobile Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Charleston, are five children, Tyler, Mathew, Dylan, Dakota and Kyle of Charleston; her father and stepmother, John and Ione Wilson of Dexter; a sister, Lori Gilbert and her husband, Merle, of Parkman; a brother, Scott A. Wilson and his wife, Lori, of Dexter; a stepsister, Lynette J. Poulin of Dexter; a stepbrother, Scott J. Wilson and his wife, Jeannie, of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Sangerville Village Cemetery with the Rev. Cynthia Nickerson officiating. Those who wish may make donations in Barbara’s memory to the family, care of David A. Rodgers, P.O. Box 23, Corinth, ME 04427. Cremation arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
