Peak colors reported in coastal, southern Maine

AUGUSTA, Maine — Forest rangers are reporting that Maine’s peak fall colors will stick around for another week in southern and coastal areas of the state.

According to the Department of Conservation’s final fall foliage report of the season, rangers are reporting peak colors along the coast from Kittery to Eastport and in interior sections from Sebago Lake to Augusta and Bangor.

Besides having vibrant colors, those areas are also reporting only moderate leaf drop.
