HOULTON – Winnifred L. Little, 72, went home to be with her Lord, Oct. 13, 2008, at a Houlton health care facility. She was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Littleton, the daughter of Clayton Little and Ena (Monteith) Little Camara. Winnifred was a loving and selfless mother who always put her children ahead of her needs. She made sacrifices so she could stay home with her children and always wanted the best for them. She is survived by three daughters, Terry Burtchell of Mars Hill, Arlyenna Cary of Brewer and Sandra Perkins of Presque Isle; two sons, Thomas Michaud of Mars Hill and Donald Michaud Jr. of Presque Isle; eight sisters, Fern Shields of Houlton, Peggy MacDonald of Southington, Conn., Clairetta Gardener of Broadlin, N.Y., Sonja Michaud of Mars Hill, Bonita Murphy of Yalesville, Conn., Sandra Nagalak of Stafford Springs, Conn., Kathy DePeau of Mars Hill and Debbie Saucier of New Market, N.H.; three brothers, John Little of Johnstown, N.Y., Ike Little of Exeter, N.H., and Alan Camara of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She will also be sadly missed by three special grandchildren, Lacie-Jay Winnifred Michaud, Donald H. Michaud III, Ashley Lynn Cary; and a special cousin and friend, Greta Michaud, with whom she spent many happy times. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, William Michaud Sr., in 1980; a daughter, Nora Bradeen, in 1993; one sister, Glenice Little; and two brothers, Owen Little and Fred Little. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
