FORT KENT – Yvon “Blanc” Soucy Sr., 65, died Oct. 21, 2008, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born April 19, 1943, at Baker Lake, New Brunswick, the son of Leo and Cecile (Ducas) Soucy. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his mother; his wife of 36 years, Priscille (Caron) Soucy; two sons, Yvon Soucy Jr. and companion, Julie, and Guy Soucy and wife, Suzie; one sister, Laurette Corbin and her husband, Jacques, of Montreal; three brothers, Aldeo Soucy and his wife, Marie Paule, of Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Fernand Soucy and his companion, Claude, and Raymond and his wife, Claudette, all of Montreal; and granddaughters, Carrie, Alexis, Linsey, Lori, Holly and Hillary. He was predeceased by his father, Leo; one brother, Cyrille Soucy; one sister, Jacqueline Soucy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Normand and Theresa Caron; a special brother-in-law, Reno Caron; and a nephew, Robert Caron Jr. To respect his wishes, there will be no viewing, services or flowers. Family and friends are asked to attend a committal service 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent. Those who wish may donate in his memory to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
