CARMEL – Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Littlefield, 66, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008. He was born July 4, 1942, the son of Lawrence “Kize” and Nettie (Pendexter) Littlefield. Larry loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was a kind and loving man, always quick to lend a hand or give to someone in need. When he wasn’t driving, he could be found hanging out in his garage. Trucking was his lifelong passion. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially his co-workers at Dysarts. He will be sadly missed by his wife of nine and a half years, Rachel; two sons, David and Robert Littlefield; two daughters, Robin Randall and Julie Tweedie; three sisters, Winnie Ireland and her husband, Dana, of Mapleton, Sarah “Carol” Kenny of Bangor and Linda Carmichael and her husband, Mickey, of Houlton; two brothers, Steve Littlefield and his wife, Marilynne, of Hermon and Robert Littlefield and his wife, Alice, of Fort Fairfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Littlefield of Glenburn; stepson, Joe Gathercole and wife, Miranda, of Troy; stepdaughter, Debbie Thomas of Hermon; several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Pete Pendexter and his wife, Joyce, of Chapman and George Littlefield and his wife, Jan, of Canon City, Colo.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Barbara Brown; and his bestest buddy and constant companion, Dexter. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Wilfred “Sonny” Littlefield; and his stepson, Morgan Gathercole. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Carmel Union Congregational Church, Plymouth Road, Carmel, with the Rev. A.J. Walker, Reaching Truckers for Christ, officiating. A reception will be immediately after the service at the church. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 205 Center St., Bangor.
