FREEPORT – Evelyn M. (Kimball) Levandoski died peacefully Nov. 6, 2008, at Freeport Nursing Care Center, Freeport. She was born July 26, 1925, in Queens, N.Y., the third child of Herbert Kimball, originally from Bucksport, and Julia (Kennell) Kimball. Evelyn graduated from Far Rockaway High School. She spent most of her adult life in the Roxbury neighborhood of Queens, N.Y. She was married to James E. Levandoski, originally of Seattle, and they had four sons. Her husband died in 1956, when the youngest was nine months. In 1990 she moved to Maine and resided in Bucksport. She then moved to Perry. In the last year of her life she was well taken care of by the staff at Remiliah House, Calais. Evelyn was predeceased by her sons, George and James P. She is survived by her sons, Charles Foster and Dennis, as well as seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and her good friend, Harry Bishop of Perry. She will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport, with family members in attendance. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
