MILLINOCKET – Mary H. Scott, 80, wife of the late Elliott W. Scott, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 25, 1928, in Millinocket, the daughter of Martin and Margaret (Martin) Healey. Mary loved “getting out” and would have been lost without her car. She very much enjoyed her trips to the beauty parlor and stores with her loving sister, Eleanor, and her tea and sweet visits with her longtime girlhood friend, Nadine Pheeney, who passed away earlier in the year. Mary was a devoted wife to Elliott for 50 years and was an exceptional mother, raising six girls. She is survived by her six daughters, Carol Kendrick and her husband, Thomas Kendrick, of Turner, Margaret Elliott and her husband, Daniel, of Millinocket, Sandra Lewis and her husband, Greg, of Lubbock, Texas, Nancy Thompson and her husband, Michael, of San Diego, Elizabeth Wallace and her husband, Michael, of Millinocket, and Sharon Baty and Chris of The Woodlands, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Alexis Stucki and her husband, Michael, Robert Kendrick, Kristopher Elliott and his wife, Norma, Melissa Elliott and her fianc’, Michael, Jessica Putonti and her husband, Stephen, Jamie Langlois and his wife, Caprice, Ryan Langlois, Nathaniel Thompson, Caleb, Cody and Isabella Wallace, and Alexander Baty; three great-grandchildren, Maxwell Stucki, Amanda Elliott and Elaine Putonti; two loving sisters, Geraldine Pasquine and Eleanor Mackin; a very dear sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Dickey and her husband, Lee; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by siblings, Alfred, Martin, Edward, Richard and Margaret; and two sisters-in-law, Lenora and Lois. Friends are invited to visit with the family 5-8 p.m. Friday at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
