CORINTH – Marion E. Brawn, 88, wife of the late Stanley Brawn, died peacefully Nov. 11, 2008, with family by her side at Sanfield Living Center, Hartland, after a long illness. She was born May 30, 1920, in Stetson, the daughter of William and Lillian Brown Randall. She had been a resident here for many years and was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Crocker, whom she married Sept. 7, 1940. She was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, David Crocker of Corinna; two daughters, Nancy Crocker of Winthrop and Mary Jane “Janie” Russell and her husband, James, of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Grace Johnson of Hampden; special daughters-in-law, Linda Burton of Stetson, Charlene Leighton of St. Albans and Carol Page of Ripley; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Marion was predeceased by her son, Wayne Crocker; sisters, Mildred and Helen; and brother, Joseph. The family expresses their deep appreciation to those individuals who served as caregivers for their mother during her illness. Graveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with the Rev. Cynthia Nickerson officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to join them at Corinth United Methodist Church Annex after the service for a time of refreshment and fellowship. Cremation arrangements and services are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
