ANN G. MCCORMICK

LINCOLN – Ann G. McCormick, 76, wife of the late Avon G. “Nick” McCormick, passed away Nov. 13, 2008. She was born June 2, 1932, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Vera (Fraser) Granville. Ann was a resident at Colonial Healthcare, Lincoln. She loved playing bingo and was an avid gardener. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved to cook for family and friends. She is survived by four children, Patrick McCormick and Linda Oestman of Michigan, Timothy McCormick and Karen Richards of Lincoln, Danny McCormick and Sandy of Virginia and Lisa Hernandez and Herbert of Florida; three brothers, Maurice Granville of Connecticut, Derwood Granville of Minnesota and Robert Granville of Florida; four grandchildren, Morgan Blier, Amanda McCormick, Nicholas McCormick and Lucas Hernandez; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, “Nick,” she was predeceased by a daughter, Karen; brothers, Donald and Wendell Granville; and sister, Leita Costigan. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Lincoln Cemetery with Pastor William Bewell officiating.
