HOULTON – Elizabeth Brinckerhoff, 88, died Nov. 15, 2008, in Houlton. She was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of Julius and Lillian (Rodgers) Mathres. She was a member of Hodgdon Methodist Church, a life member of Order of the Eastern Star and Order of Rainbow Girls, and a volunteer at Houlton Regional Hospital for several years. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Moore and her husband, Charles R., of Amity; grandchildren, Caroline and her husband, Timothy, and Julian; special friends, Ray and Mary Boucher, and Carol Stockley; and the residents of Century House, Houlton. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Allen; brother, Robert; and sister, Estella King. The family thanks the health care providers of Gardiner Healthcare Facility and Houlton Regional Hospital for their excellent care in Beth’s final years.
