FORT FAIRFIELD – Ethel B. Kilcollins, 93, wife of the late Arthur P. Kilcollins, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 15, 2008, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born May 11, 1915, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Harry and Lavina (Barnes) Hagerman. Ethel was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1934 and was married to Arthur P. Kilcollins, March 19, 1937. She was a member of Fort Fairfield Bethel Baptist Church for more than 70 years, where she participated in Ladies Sunday School Class and Ladies Mission Society. Ethel will be remembered for her homemade donuts, breads and chicken pie, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, Nov. 2, 2000; one son, Richard O. Kilcollins, Sept. 17, 2006; three brothers, Claude, Orin and Warren Hagerman; one sister, Louise Dubay; and one sister-in-law, Edna Kilcollins Burns. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond L. and Elta Kilcollins of Scarborough and Sebring, Fla., and Thomas L. and Catherine Kilcollins of Fort Fairfield; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Kilcollins of Fort Fairfield; one sister-in-law, Avis Kilcollins Giggey Warren of Fort Fairfield; six grandchildren, Philip and Robert Kilcollins, Barbara Kilcollins Pelkey, Beth Kilcollins Hotham, all of Fort Fairfield, Connie Kilcollins of Scarborough and Steven Kilcollins of Laconia, N.H.; 10 great-grand-children, Jessamy Kilcollins of Boston, Benjamin Kilcollins of Portland, Robbie, Brock and Alyssa Kilcollins, Brittany, Thomas and Evan Pelkey, Amanda and Melissa Hotham, all of Fort Fairfield; four nephews and two nieces. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will be held after the service at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held at VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Pres-que Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately after the interment service.
