BREWER and NORWAY, Maine – Timothy Perley Tracy passed away Nov. 16, 2008, at a Brewer health care facility. Timothy was born July 6, 1950, in Biddeford, to Charles R. Sr. and Dorothy L. (Coburn) Tracy. Timothy fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a Marine. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps from July 14, 1969 to July 14, 1972, as a radio relay operator. He served in Vietnam from Feb. 25, 1970 to Feb. 15, 1971. He was honorably discharged as a lance corporal. After his tour of duty with the Marines, he attended Kennebec Valley Community College, where he graduated with his associate’s degree in nursing. He worked for more than 10 years in the respiratory unit of Mercy Hospital, Portland. Tim worshipped and enjoyed fellowship at Second Congregational Church, Brewer. On his better days, he would take daily walks, and would often stop at Ron’s Cafe for coffee and a visit. Tim is survived and remembered by his mother, Dorothy L. Coburn Tracy of Gorham; sisters, Carol R. LeMoine of Gorham, Edith Worobe and husband, Jim, of Modesto, Calif.; brother, Charles R. Tracy Jr. and wife, Nancy, with whom he made his home in Brewer; nephews, Robert LeMoine and wife, Christy, of Rochester, N.H., Tracy Worobe of Old Town; and a niece, Amybeth Worobe of Modesto, Calif. Tim was predeceased by his father, Charles R. Tracy Sr. A memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. Foster Williams of Second Congregational Church of Brewer, officiating.
