HERMON – Allan L. Bolster, 69, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008. He was born June 18, 1939, in Easton, the son of Ralph and Gladys (Williams) Bolster. Alan loved his career as a truck driver and was a driver for Dysart’s for more than 20 years. He was a member of the local pipe fitters union and liked to build airplanes. He loved to travel the country in his motor home with his companion, Jo. Alan is survived by his partner of 18 years, Jo; sons, Kenneth and his wife, Melissa, of Exeter, N.H., and Rodney of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughters, Margo and her partner, Greg, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Michelle of New Hampshire; brother, Larry Bolster of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Sheila Cass of Lamoine; grandchildren, April, Steven, Rebecca, Eileen, Kyle, Samuel and Kory; and one great-grandchild, Riley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Allan L. Bolster Jr. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, with Pastor Will Cass, of Calvary Chapel Down East, officiating.
