ST. GEORGE, New Brunswick – Mr. Daniel Joseph Frost, husband of Mrs. Nancy (Dewar) Frost, passed away Nov. 25, 2008, surrounded by his family, at his residence. Born May 13, 1951, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, he was a son of Fletcher Frost and the late Mary (Casey) Frost. He was a loving husband, dad, papa, brother and son. Throughout his life, Dan was always a people person who loved to cook and entertain. An avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, nature and stargazing. Dan was a well-known volunteer who was active in all of his kids and grandkids school functions. He could often be found “finding his grandchildren’s honey.” He was a dear friend to all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Nancy, Dan is survived by two daughters, Elena Dewar and Kevin Wright of Seeley’s Cove, New Brunswick, and Sarah Dewar and Jason Norman of St. George, New Brunswick. He was “Papa” to Sage Isabelle, Milo Daniel and Zaida Rose. He is also survived by his father, Fletcher Frost and Kay Gaddis of Calais; one brother, Jim Frost and Jorge Morales of Virginia; four sisters, Margaret and Leslie Shaw of Brewer, Maryanne and Jan Starbird of Bangor, Suzanne Taber and Mark L’Heureux of Berwick and Sherri and Kevin Cox of Ellsworth; sister-in-law, Jeanne Frost of Brewer; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan was predeceased by his mother, Mary; and by one brother, retired Chief Master Sgt. Richard Eugene Frost. Family will be receiving friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage St., St. George, New Brunswick, where a celebration of Dan’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
