CARIBOU – Evelyn Mary Beardsley, 68, wife of Boyce Beardsley Sr., died Nov. 28, 2008, in Caribou. She was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Caribou, the daughter of John and Celina (Morrow) Doucette. She was a graduate of Caribou High School, and was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. Evelyn was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Boyce of Caribou; a son, Orrick Damboise of Caribou; three brothers, Raymond Doucette and his wife, Donna, John Doucette and his wife, Bernadette, and Kenneth Doucette Sr., all of Caribou; one sister, Lorraine Green of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Lorie Hemphill of Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Aaron Damboise officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. Monday until time of services at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Interment will take place at Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.
