HOULTON – Eleanor “Lorraine” Seward, 96, died Nov. 27, 2008, at a local health care facility. She was born March 26, 1912, in Caribou, the daughter of William and Sarah (Gray) Smith. Lorraine attended Corner Stone Baptist Church. She loved dancing and country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her son, Herbert Seward of Port Ritchie, Fla.; her daughter, Hope Anderson of Linneus; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Seward; her son, George A. Seward Jr.; and her daughter, Audrey Seward. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Chester Ammons officiating.
