BELFAST – Walter “Bud” F. Leach Jr., 76, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008. He was born Oct. 13, 1932, the son of Walter and Mary (Babson) Leach Sr. Walter served his country in the Army during the reconstruction of Germany. He worked at the Penobscot Poultry plant for many years and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Nancy R. (Moulton) Leach; and sister, Betty Fowler. He is survived by his children, Daryl Leach of Belfast and Douglas Leach and wife, Michele, of Belfast; two sisters, Sheila Nevells of Blue Hill and Olive Bridges of Brooklin; also two grandchildren, Daryl D. Leach and wife, Darci, of Belfast and Joshua Leach and fianc?e, Meagen Carman of Belfast. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Belfast Masonic Hall.
