SEATTLE – Harriette Fairbrother died Sept. 2, 2008, in the loving care of her son, Brian, in Seattle. She left Bangor with a thriving community of belly dancers, teachers and numerous yearly celebrations for public enjoyment of Middle Eastern dance, music, costume and culture. There will be a night of Middle Eastern dance and culture in Harriette’s honor 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Brick Church, Union Street, Bangor, produced and hosted by Laurien, one of Harriette’s former master students. Donations to Save Our Strays, Bangor, are encouraged.
